Yay! Finally this movie got made properly!

I loved this book series growing up, and needless to say, I was disappointed in the 1987 version which messed up the ending.

This is much more like it. Yes, it's a TV movie, but it doesn't shy away from things like the relationship between Cathy and Chris.

Heather graham is very good as Corrine too. I hated her lol. The grandmother is a little more sympathetic here than she should be, it did put a different spin on it and made Corinne more the villain. I do have to admit the grandmother in the botched 87 version was the more accurate portrayal, but that's the only part I liked better. The grandmother here is interesting as she seems to have more layers, but the book grandmother was an out and out evil bitch.

I'm looking forward to watching the sequel.
