Fairly tame and chaste version of the sordid tale, with medicore writing and decent performances by Kiernan Shipka (Sally Draper on "Mad Men") and Ellen Burstyn. As much as I like Heather Graham (Hello Felicity Shagwell and Rollergirl), she overacted to an extreme in this movie.
..I don't think drama is her strong point. Slightly disappointing but still eons better than the 80's movie with Kristy Swanson. Of course, I hope they make "Petals on the Wind".
