Review of Florence Foster Jenkins (2016) by Beenie G — 24 Jun 2017
This movie is well acted at all levels and fresh. I completely bought into each of the characters. The compassion of the characters showed a side of humanity that is difficult to capture. Though she was convinced that her talent was greater than it was her rationale for singing and supporting music was that music brings joy to others.
Similarly her husband and her circle of friends felt compelled to protect her from those who would berate her talent for fear of the protagonist suffering emotional injury.
I was moved by the story and the performances.
