Review of Flesh (1968) by Aymar J — 14 Jan 2008
In the 60s critics said it was about nothing but flesh (ie too postmodern), but it actually critiques well social norms: domesticity, Puritanical work ethic, homo- and heterosexuality, parenthood, etc.
And there's that great scene with the drag queens reading a magazine, a GENIUS depiction of sexual/media consumption in age of loose ties. I ate it all up.
