Review of David Brent: Life on the Road (2016) by Evan K — 15 Dec 2016

No, it's not a great movie...more of an extended TV programme but David Brent is a great creation and Ricky Gervais doesn't miss a beat in delivering another outstanding performance. What never seems to be given enough credit is his writing which always dazzles no matter the often peculiarity of delivery.

Wonderfully supported by an able cast this further chapter in our luckless hero's life only suffers from being too much of what made it funny in the first place. It's cruel but in the end, unusually kind.
