Review of CQ (2001) by M. K — 31 May 2011
I wasn't really into this film too much early on, but as it went on I enjoyed it a little more. It feels almost like you're watching 2 different movies at once as there's a movie-within the movie that's entertaining too.
Jeremy Davies does a great job in the lead and supporting characters do a good job too. The film is shot really cool and looks pretty sweet; unforunately I didn't really care for many of the characters and feltt the film dragged on a times, even though it is a short film.
The plot and story don't really go anywhere and I really liked the movie-within-a-movie's ending better then the real movie's ending. Overall this felt very similar to Roman Coppola's sisters movies that are really artsy and feel almost like a student-film, but it was kinda shot cool and entertaining at times.
