I'm guessing the people that gave this movie negative reviews aren't teachers, because there was so much reality in this movie. Sure there are caricatures, but I recoginize a lot of myself and other teachers (and some students too) in this film.
It helps that the writers were teachers themselves. I highly recommend this movie - it might not be laugh out loud or hugely entertaining, but teaching isn't always laugh out loud or hugely entertaining either! Its a bit of reality, folks.
