Review of Buffalo '66 (1998) by Julia S — 10 Nov 2007
I absolutely despise Vincent Gallo, but I can't deny the love I feel for this film. Sure, it rips off Cassavetes to a certain degree, but I think it's very stylish and endearingly offbeat. Christina Ricci is wonderful as the willingly kidnapped tap dancer Layla.
I love the scene where she taps to King Crimsons "Moon Child" in the bowling alley and the scene in the photo booth is classic. Love it to pieces.
