Review of Best F(r)iends: Volume 1 (2017) by Joel P — 24 Jun 2018
The film finds a balance between comedy, art film and heist film with a strange surreal humour that works perfectly with Tommy Wiseau's strangeness. Greg Sestero does a great job at providing both humour and sincerity while the constant darkness in the score hints something sinister is on the horizon.
It is a unique and strange experience that constantly surprises the viewer and uses the strengths of its two leads. While it may not be a perfect film by any means, it is a great experience.
