Review of Batman and Robin (1949) by The Critic ( — 29 Jun 2012
A little long-winded at times, but there's no denying the pure entertainment value of the production. The brooding Robert Lowery is excellent as the Caped Crusader, John Duncan is likeable, and Jane Adams makes a fine impression as Vicki Vale.
The resolutions of almost each cliffhanger are too easily done to be truly rewarding, though the serial as a whole is a consistent joyride.
