As far as remakes of Pang brothers go, this is pretty superior to the remake of their movie "The Eye" (namely because Tom Cruise's Cruise/Wagner was involved). It is also better than the crappy "The Messengers" movie.
Nicholas Cage has picked a series of unusual roles. Sure, the pang brothers were involved in the remake of their own film, but that doesn't mean it'll be that great. The movie was cool, great action sequences but the movie lacked some of the charisma of the original.
