Review of Bad Country (2014) by George E — 13 Nov 2018
Crime movie, based on a true story, with a (mostly) great cast. The movie was filmed in Southeast Louisiana, where the actual events took place, giving it an authentic feel, despite Tom Berenger's embarrassing attempt at a cajun accent.
Props to the 1980's cars and mustaches, which really do take you back 30 years. Also, the social/political atmosphere of the deep south, in the 80's is accurately portrayed, in the film. The characters are well written and performed- with the exception of Berenger's character, who is supposed to be a corrupt southern politician, but might as well be the Colonel from the KFC commercials.
Overall, I enjoyed and recommend the movie.
