Review of Airlift (2016) by Kunal K — 07 Feb 2016

Biggest civilian evacuation in aviation history would make for an interesting telling but the movie instead focus on the fictional messiah based on an amalgamation of real characters. Akshay Kumar gives a crowd pleasing performance and Indians are made to feel proud with lifting of the flag in the end but to me it all felt hollow with the empty storytelling.

A real life dramatic situation was reduced to nonsensical cinema. The plot envisioned is good just the actual execution is all messed up.
