Review of Airlift (2016) by Rajat Y — 28 Jan 2016
A refreshing movie by Akshay Kumar. Based on true events, the movie tries to capture the violence stricken Kuwait of 1990s, with Iraq's invasion in the picture. It also shows the lackadaisical Indian Government and its failure to prove its worth to its own citizens.
While the movie tries to pull off a War thriller, it doesn't quite reach the threshold to gel well in the category of the likes of 'Haqeeqat' or 'Border'. It surely is worth a watch, but isn't worth the hype surrounding it.
