Review of Absolute Beginners (1986) by Ericka G — 19 Aug 2008
I typically dislike musicals adapted to film, but this is one rare exception (Carmen Jones and Grease are the others I enjoy). Interesting take on the immigration of people of color from the british colonies into London (specifically Notting Hill) recruited to "clean up" after World War II.
Plus, my girl Sade is in this movie!
