Review of Absolute Beginners (1986) by E F — 30 Sep 2009
Cinematography and wardrobe make it really feel like you're watching a movie made in the 50's. Love the music and the cameos by Sade and Ray Davies, and a great overall performance from David Bowie.
And for the most part, a lot of fun, but then it gets kind of serious dealing with the dark topic of a race riot. For some reason, a musical about race riots doesn't seem appropriate.
