Review of Absentia (2011) by Rebel R — 01 Jul 2012

If you like your horror movies with some startle quality like I do then this is a good one. I personally also find that I lose respect for a horror movie that falls short in creating scary non-human elements but I can say (without trying to give away anything before you see it) that the way this film handles those parts was very smart and totally respectable.

The soundtrack is very good with a raw and minimal sound that carries out creepiness throughout the film. I am a picky horror film lover and can confidently say this may not be one of the best I have ever seen but it's still totally worth watching.
