A horror film that not only stands as an effective slow burning mystery, but also stands as a symbol of true hope for any low budget indie filmmaker. This film happened all because a kickstarter. Hundreds backed this film and made Mike Flanagan's dream come true.
If you can't respect it as a horror film, you damn sure can respect it as a symbol of hope.
