Mother of Joseph Blaha was Slovenian, father of Bohemia. Alone Bláha was born in the Yugoslav Novom Town, but from the eleven years he lived in Prague. Went to secondary school and graduated from a two-year business course, but already at that time enthusiastically ochotničil. The way to the boards, however, hindered II. world war and total commitment. Immediately after the liberation returned to his hobby (he worked briefly in the Theater, Ferenc Futurist), and at the same time he studied pop the DAME in the class of Ladislav Pešek. Pln ideals joined the communist party, but unlike many other colleagues soon realized how things are. Solved it simply - with mock pain at the heart of the comrades told that he has lost the party book, and for this offense he was from the CPC expelled. In 1951 he joined the Theatre of the Czechoslovak army (later the Theatre On Vinohrady), which remained faithful for forty years. There scored dozens of distinctive supporting roles, like Beelzebub in the game DALSKABÁTY, SINFUL VILLAGE or loyal to a brothel keeper Feuraillon in the farce BEETLE IN the HEAD (both figures we know of in his administration and from the tv records). The main role played as a rule in conjunction with a friend Vlastimil Brodsky, for example, in american comedy the Odd couple, and I'm not Rappaport. Has not even the characters in the soviet games of "socialist realism" and with humor, I was in them at least entertained the degradation of colleagues. With the film they first met in 1947, when together with Miloš Kopecký appeared in the crowd of rioting students in the image JÁN ROHÁČ OF DUBÉ. When she was many years later in the hall of the vinohrady theatre exposed photos from the movie, young financial Talent knew no one, Bláhu each. Had already at that time, large dark eyes, which, with the help of a massive eyebrows could playfully alternate expressions of uncompromising authority and paternal dobráctví. This, of course, escaped the attention of film directors and Josef Bláha played in more than fifty films. Universally known he was not up to the end of the sixties, přeevším thanks to the role of the sober inspector Brůžka from the tv retroseriálu SINFUL PEOPLE of PRAGUE and its four film offshoot. On the audience but deeply impressed even his killer Halík from the mysteries ON the TRACKS WAITING for the KILLER, the count of Šternberk from Vávra's HAMMER of THE WITCH, and the four-handed director of the witch school, in the GIRL ON a BROOMSTICK. Very often Bláhu to appoint a multi-genre director Jindřich Polák. After a few smaller roles so their cooperation culminated in a Misguided perhaps best known for his role of academician Philip, chief of the scientific expedition of time travellers, in the cult sci-fi series the VISITORS from 1983. Otherwise Blaha in the course of the eighties you have been saving. Exceptions (hot-blooded editor of the Bonnelli in BAMBINOTU) in the film and in the television ceased to appear. Partly because of the lack of interesting offers, partly for the deteriorating state of health. George Owl in one of their commemorative books wrote that They looked like "burned the raven, who survived a forest fire". And it wasn't just a funny characteristic of hopper's past looks. Josef Bláha survived the hated totalitarianism, but in the remaining five years of life, I practically couldn't work. After a long illness he died at the age of seventy years.
Josef Bláha has acted in films with Adolf Hitler, Jiří Sovák, Vlastimil Brodský and Vladimír Menšík.
