Review of Zulu (1964) by David D — 04 May 2008
Superb film even though it is not historically accurate (there were few Welshmen in the battle as the 24th Regiment of Foot was a Warwickshire (English) regiment, Henry Hook was not the criminal type as depicted in the film; the British did not sing "Men of Harlech" to the Zulus; about 3-400 Zulus were killed and not as might be suggested by the film thousands and so on).
Absolutely brilliant film score by John Barry.
I can watch this time and time again and enjoy it.
