Review of Zulu (1964) by Luke P — 14 Feb 2010
It's pure Boy's Own adventure stuff and terrifically entertaining. It's got that 60s epic feel, which at times is clumsy, but makes great use of location, and is fairly true to history (as far as I know).
Caine's first big trip and I must say, he's at his campest. Some may take offence at references to the 'fuzzies' but it's fairly staid for its day, and probably very restrained for the period.
Great last stand stuff.
