Holy crap. I read someone's description of this movie about this life-loving Greek and I just had to see it. What I didn't read was that apparently life hits him and his partner more times than you would want.
The scene with the dying prostitute was almost hard to watch and the whole last 30 minutes are heart wrenching and intense. The music is just astounding. Anthony Quinn is masterful in this movie, but I don't think I would watch this again as eagerly as I did the first time.
