Review of Zorba the Greek (1964) by Eduardo M — 27 Jun 2007
A perfect example of a Free man!
In the scene 12:00min.
-"it's about the santouri, we make a bargain or I cannot come. In work, I am your man... but in things like playing and singing... I am my own".
-"how do you mean?".
-"I mean Free".
He examplifies an enlightened man. he sings and dances when he is happy, he eats when hungry, gets angry when there is no justice. he acts. he does. he is brave, yet wise. he is womanizer, yet gentle and courteous. he is idealist yet pragmatist. he embodies yin/yang and alpha/omega.
