Review of Zoom (2006) by Eric-Travis S — 12 May 2014
As far as kid-friendly superhero movies go, this is one of the more watchable out there. I think maybe some elements were superior even to Spy Kids 3D but not quite the Sharkboy and Lavagirl level of kid-friendly fun.
Tim Allen is still reinforcing his inability to act outside of a single mould, much like how he portrayed a William Shatner-inspired character in "Galaxy Quest" and like he and Courtney Cox mentioned in the credit outtake sequence, they're funnier on TV.
No, my biggest complaint would be overusage of a musical montage (at least three as I recall) but some of the kids' performances were cute and memorable.
Not quite raspberry material, but not exactly Oscar material either.
