Review of Zoolander (2001) by Chris E — 22 Mar 2012
Ben Stiller plays a dippy fashion model who is pushed into irrelevance by a younger and prettier runway icon (Owen Wilson). If that isn't bad enough, there's also an elaborate brainwashing plot by a villainous designer (Will Ferrell).
There's an occasional piece of funny in this cameo-laden comedy, but for the most part I found the jokes in this picture to be telegraphed and stilted. Zoolander has its fans, but I am clearly not one of them.
