The heck with the critics - Zoolander 2 is a hysterically funny movie!! The night I saw Zoolander 2 there was only one other couple in the theater. Where was everyone? This movie is brilliantly funny! Then I remembered the scathing reviews.
Americans seem to hate movies that satirize our favorite genres (think: Great American Action Hero with Schwarzenegger and Ishtar with Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty.) Zoolander is a movie for word-nerds.
It's rife with such silly dialogue that I nearly wore out my facial muscles with laughter. Ben Stiller hops on the back of Penelope Cruz' and she says, "Who says swimsuit models are useless? Take me from behind, Zoolander.
Grab on for safety! And extra buoyancy! We're going to swim to Rome." This movie is filled with delicious puns and plays on words that seemed to sail joyously over the heads of most critics and perhaps viewers as well.
Keep your eye on the prize and SEE THIS MOVIE!! It's a laugh riot.
