Review of Zoolander 2 (2016) by John U — 25 Feb 2016

While everyone else is raving about Deadpool, I was eager to see just how bad Zoo 2 could be. But I gotta say, setting my expectation extremely low, and avoiding all the trailers and tv spots out there, I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun this flick was to watch.

Yeah, it's seriously flawed and and highly dependent on recycling jokes from the first film, and yeah, it's not as grounded or unique as its predecessor, but what Zoo 2 gets right is not trying to be anything but other than an nostalgic trip for fans that have been wanting to see a sequel for years.

It's not as clever, memorable, or adorable as you're hoping it will be, but it doesn't need to entertain. Just ask Billy Zane.
