Review of Zookeeper (2011) by Wiebke K — 28 Oct 2011
Many did not enjoyed this movie, but I must admit I DID. I got a few laughs (not bad, some were just cliches from old movies, and when I say old, I mean OLD, OLD). The story was ok, it could have been better, and if the intention was to make this film a FAMILY ONE, they did nail that :).
Plot: Since I won't spoil the main theme of the story, all I can say is that is not predictable (at least for me was a surprise) and that all I can say for real, is that Griffin has a hard job at hands. Moral of the story: Never change. Why I say that? Is not a spoiler, but still is a lesson many humans MUST learn. Stars? For that I say yes.
Acting: Kevin has done better jobs in the past, but as Griffin I could feel another energy, even if the character has many cliches in it. Not so bad anyway. Rosario como Kate se la comio. She always nails her roles at her best. Leslie as Stephanie was ok, still not an easy role (you could love her or hate her character). Ken as Venom was hilarious as always, still, I wish to see him on a serious role, even if in the interviews he enjoys saying he loves comedy more than anything. The rest of the cast (voice over actors/actresses) did also an incredible job, so, stars? Yep.
Music: Loved it, enjoyed it, even 80's rock songs (could not believe it was used my fave from KANSAS....maybe because it reminds me of a supernatural show?). Stars? Yep.
To end this review, 3 stars of 5. Enjoy and HASTA LA PROXIMA AMIGOS/AS! CHAO! BLESS YOU ALL!!!
