Review of Zookeeper (2011) by Aaron H — 12 Mar 2013
While it seems to attempt a Bedtime Stories-type plotline, Zookeeper lacks fresh humor and wit. Yet another film that I'm glad I waited to check out until it debuted in the cheap seats, but still a predictable, unfunny, waste of time and effort.
Also, was it totally necessary for the producers to randomly throw in a queer guy (played by Ken Jeong) in the film? For a "kid's movie", that seems a little racy to me. Besides, that particular character's name rips off a certain Marvel Comics character; that in itself is a crime.
