Review of Zoo (2007) by David G — 07 Jun 2009
NEIGH MEANS NO.
This was a total art film masquerading as a documentary. Documentaries are supposed to be informative in my mind. I was left with too many unanswered questions though. Was it that dude's first time with a horse? Did they geld the right horse at the end? Were the acts all intimate or was it like a town hall type deal where everyone watched? And on and on.
I thought the focus on the internet at the beginning of the film was funny. Like the dude would have never bone danced with an animal if the internet never came along. Yeah right man. The internet is there to shine a spotlight on the deviant shit that goes on in the world, It's no catalyst.
Anyways, if you have a sense of humor, there are two laugh out loud moments in the movie. I don't think experiencing them is worth 80 minutes of your time though.
