Review of Zoo (2007) by Jen H — 15 Jul 2009
Long on style, short on substance. The director prefers gloomy, goopy artistic reenactments (no, not that kind) to much in the way of pertinent information or commentary.
It's a sensitive treatment of a perverse and bizarre incident, but the condemnations and justifications alike are nothing new, and anyone who wants to stare into the abyss that is the oh-so-magical story of Mr. Hands would be better served by a newspaper article.
