Review of Zombieland (2009) by Ryan V — 28 Jan 2014
An awkward shut-in (Jesse Eisenberg) is wandering around in a zombie apocalypse. He eventually falls into a posse with a wild man (Woody Harrelson) and a pair of con artists (Emma Stone & Abigail Breslin), but he isn't sure if he has found the family he never had before.
Zombieland's character arcs are a bit predictable, but the mere presence of character arcs is a sign that this film is trying harder than many others in its genre. As a whole, it's funny, attention-grabbing, and features plenty of gory mayhem.
I'm certain that it will largely be accepted as a horror movie gem.
