Review of Zombieland (2009) by Sean D — 09 Nov 2014
I've seen over 50 films this holiday season, okay...maybe I'm exaggerating. But this is easily one of the top 3. It's a specialized twizt on the time honoured zombie plot. But....it's funny, and intentionally, and it's not a parody of any film, it's just it's own thing.
The 4 main characters gel so well interchangeably with each other. The random ass cameo by Bill Murray as himself was genius. And then there are the two main character sisters who try to cry wolf and fail, but realize the error of their ways at the end of the time.
The film makes no frills about the characters backstories. It's a really fun, exciting, and entertainment film with just the right serving of the typical violence and graphic violence that you would find in zombie flicks.
This film is easily a must-see!
