Review of Zombie Strippers! (2008) by Lloyd W — 15 Oct 2008
In the not too distant future a secret government re-animation chemo-virus gets released into conservative Sartre, Nebraska and lands in an underground strip club. As the virus begins to spread, turning the strippers into "Super Zombie Strippers" the girls struggle with whether or not to conform to the new "fad" even if it means there's no turning back.
Written and directed by Jay Lee & starring: Jenna Jameson, Robert Englund, Roxy Saint, Joey Medina, Shamron Moore, Penny Drake, Jennifer Holland, John Hawkes & Jeannette Sousa.
I was taken by suprise with this movie, I went into it with fairly lowered expectations to be quite honest. For this I was slapped in the face by the best combination of horror mixed with raw comedy and some random philosophy, wether intended or not, I have seen in a long time. The acting is strong, and sometimes campy but intentionally, the effects are well done and some crappy CGI got in but it is at minimum. Lighting, sound and music are dead on as well as some great one liners, a zompie stripper battle and Robert Englund gets some "face Time" with his employees.
All in all I say this movie is a must rent, if not a have to own. It's fun and gorey, funny yet thought provoking and it will poke some polititcal buttons too. What are you waiting for go get this damn movie!!!! 9/10.
