Review of Zombie Strippers! (2008) by Jay B — 26 Nov 2008

In my Video Productions class, we have put together projects that nobody took as a serious work, but still had fun with the process of creating such a bad and stupid film project. In the end, it didn't really matter how good or bad it all turned out, but whether or not it created a sense of awkwardness that was pleasing to the eye.

"Zombie Strippers" was not a combination of long, thought-out ideas to make the classic zombie film. It was thrown out into the public because people enjoy stupid ideas. Not all of them are as interesting to watch as "Zombie Strippers", but people still want more of them nonetheless.

I admired the fact that there are people out there who want to make a dumb movie with no intentions of making it a serious project. "Doom" was a dumb movie with serious intentions. Rob Zombie's "Halloween" was a dumb movie with serious intentions.

"Zombie Strippers" is nothing more than hot, dead girls, corny action sequences, and bad special effects, and it wasn't supposed to be anything more than that. I also loved how they threw in philisophical lines to ensure that this film isn't taken too literal.

Who wouldn't enjoy strippers talkig as though they just finished reading a piece from Socrates. "Zombie Strippers" is stupid, more stupid, and even more stupid than most other films out there, and that is why I liked it.
