Sometimes you get the impression that a film is trying too hard to tick all the "cult-film-to-be" boxes, such as loads of gore, humorous situations a couple of iconic actors (see Bruce Campbell) etc.

Avery recent example include Diary of the Dead which was mediocre at the best. I was expecting that to be the case with "Zombie Strippers", however, God I was so wrong. Take a group of gorgeous rotting strippers (see Penny Drake), add a lot of genuinely funny gore (a zombie's fanny juices???), on top of it stick a lot of philosophical references and if you are lucky, a gem will come out.

Don't get me wrong, this film is never meant to be taken seriously, however it's funny, entertaining and most importantly, it's one of the smartest films I've watched in ages.
