Review of Zombie Strippers! (2008) by Chris V — 01 Oct 2009

Well, it delivered what it promised, zombies & strippers. the thing is, I almost feel like they tried too hard. if they just went & said "who cares, its called 'Zombie Strippers', no one is gonna expect much out of it" and had fun, I think it woulda worked.

..but they actually put a good amount into the gore fx, some crappy cgi, and a lot of makeup...so its like they actually wanted to make a good zombie movie, just against the backdrop of a strip club...

And I think in setting their sights that high, they just missed a bit. they also tried to add in so many philosophical references that it just sorta got cluttered together...the town is named Sartre, one of the girls is reading Nietzsche.

..it just tried too hard.
