Review of Zombie Strippers! (2008) by Eric D — 06 Apr 2010
Okay: So. Bad. I mean, Jenna Jameson reading Nietzsche? The town named "Sartre?" The absolutely out-of-place, overly (and overtly) philosophical one-liners? I really don't know what philosophy has to do with the concept of undead strippers. I think it's blatant that it was an attempt to (operative word:) try make the script seem more intelligent than it (obviously) is.
And the acting is just horrible. Like, porn-horrible. Seriously, I kept waiting for the plumber or pizza delivery guy to show up (and it isn't even porn).
So really this movie gets half a star for the gore and Robert Englund (who is surprisingly terrible), and half a star for the ping-pong/billiard ball scene at the close of the film.
I would avoid it again if I had to. It's not even "funny" bad.
