Review of Zodiac (2007) by Logan T — 29 Apr 2012
I am still able to find something new to be mesmerized by with each viewing of this film. It proves the evolution of David Fincher's already immense directorial talent, given that this was Fincher's best film before "The Social Network" and "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" (which were both made after this movie).
The way I would describe its uniqueness and originality within its genre is the simple fact that it trades common intensity for realistic intelligence. From my observation, there aren't many "serial killer" procedural thrillers that are nearly as realistic as "Zodiac".
Also, how about that perfect 70s production design?
