Review of Zodiac (2007) by Marcus R — 17 Oct 2012
One of the greatest mystery & suspense films I have ever watched. The runtime exceeds 2 hours, but it was so worth it. The pacing was spot on and there never was one boring minute. This film was heavily dialogue driven, but amazing due to the quality of the acting.
Gyllenhaal played his role brilliantly, Downey Jr was terrific in his small co-starring role and the rest of the cast were great. The few murder scenes in this film were beautifully shot and very gritty.
As amazing as "Se7en" was, it was more of an in your face thriller. This movie on the other hand, was much more pure and realistic.
