Review of Zodiac (2007) by Tania A — 18 Apr 2013
"I.... I Need to know who he is. I... I need to stand there, I need to look him in the eye and I need to know that it's him.".
Out of the countless serial killer thrillers, Zodiac is fairly unique. Both because it's based on a true story, and because one of the primary characters is a civilian. It's not often that you see a cartoonist trying to find a killer and let it become an obsession. Fincher's true-life tale is not about grabbing the bad guy; it's about the nature of obsession. The story goes slowly but that doesn't bother. This movie isn't for the people who like their thriller to be fast-paced of filled with action. The chase is more subtle and interesting.
