Review of Zodiac (2007) by Graeme E — 13 Jun 2013
Fincher's style of direction really lends itself beautifully to very dark, moody movies, and Zodiac is exactly that. It is a emotional thrill ride with many high points as Gyllenhaal, Donwey Jr. and Ruffalo try to track down the Zodiac killer using their different skill sets.
Pacing is immaculate, giving you a chance to take a breath and process the event that just happened on screen, much like what the characters do. Definitely one of Fincher's top 3 movies to date, and that's saying something.
