This story is intriguing, mostly on the fact that it's 98% true. Jake Gyllenhaal does a nice job carrying the film, as this character is right up his alley (confused and solving a mystery that is bigger than he understands).
Some of the more dramatic moments are hyped up for scare factor. More mysterious than it is scary.
