Zodiac works more as an engaging trip back in time, encompassing moments of cinematographic brilliance and tapping into the 70s culture, than a consecutive work of a murder thriller; it focuses neither on the right character nor on the events and ultimately, its recreational work can't justify its nonetheless impressive runtime.
