Review of ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction (2010) by Sandra K — 28 Mar 2010
Continuing on from Philip Morris, here's another genre twister - this time Zombies but with 2 twists - a gay one and a post 9-11 racial one. And like all good zombie films, the politics is very upfront and funny.
Silly funny but still funny. So nothing profound here. And while this is made on a shoestring, the special effects are gross, humourous and effective. Some of the acting are a bit wooden and amateurish and the editing can be sharper, and if this was mainstream, it would probably only be a 2 or 2 1/2 star but judging it for what it is, an independent niche film, I think it only fair to give it 3.
