Review of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (1983) by Nick L — 28 Jun 2011
Although it's great that Bowie's last Ziggy Stardust concert was captured on film, D.A. Pennebaker's washed out, grainy film stock totally fails to capture the vivid, colourfulness of Bowie in full, regal Glam pomp.
Still it would take a complete mediocrity to render David Bowie in his prime anything less than watchable, and the behind stage snippets are sparse but fascinating.
