Review of Zero Effect (1998) by Jason G — 14 Sep 2007
At thirteen, this was the perfect noir. Ten years on, it's no longer the genre juggernaut that it was for me, but it still holds the same power. An intricate mystery pulled off by several actors who had not yet become tiresome at time of release. It should be considered a classic, a gem to be rediscovered by curious mystery buffs and Ben Stiller fans alike.
It also may have subliminally planted the first seeds of my love for early Elvis Costello, so there's that.
