Review of Zero Effect (1998) by Seth K — 10 Jan 2009
Ever have those conversations where you compare underrated films that no-one's ever heard of or seen but you? This is my favourite to bring up. Bill Pullman stars as a lateral thinking, staggeringly brilliant P.
I. who, on the flip side, is so wildly eccentric he can barely interact with fellow human beings. So he sends his proxy, Ben Stiller, to deal with clients, but Stiller's patience is rapidly eroding.
It's a great idea and a fascinating dynamic that is well explored here, all interwoven into a cool detective plot. See it... if you can find it!
