Review of Zero Dark Thirty (2012) by James K — 22 Nov 2014
I had been waiting all year to see this movie and I wasn't disappointed! I actually saw it last month but had to drive up to LA to see it. I couldn't wait for it to come to San Diego. What I found interesting is after the movie I thought to myself... "why would the CIA allow some of this information to go public?" Then, the very next day I heard Leon Panetta was very upset with some of the content of the movie... so I figured if the director of the C.I.A. is upset then it must have been pretty accurate.
The movie is long, but it goes by so quickly. If anyone else wins this year for Best Actress besides Jessica Chastain, it's rigged! She was phenomenal. It's funny to see her go from the character in "The Help" to this character. This clearly was one of the best movies I saw for 2012, although I'm not sure I'm going to say it was the best. Right now for me it's tied for first. We'll see what happens at the Oscars/Golden Globes.
I HIGHLY recommend seeing this one!
