Review of Zero Dark Thirty (2012) by Dylan M — 02 Apr 2016
Zero Dark Thirty is directed by Kathryn Bigelow and stars Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, and Chris Pratt. The film goes into detailed scenarios about the hunt for terrorist killer, Osama bin Laden.
Zero Dark Thirty is a very well made film, The majority of the film is in-detailed, long scenes mostly of dialogue that can stray most audiences away from the film. But with Bigelow's intelligent story telling and pristine way of direction, she gives the film more wanted tension and steers it into a well told drama.
Jessica Chastain gives a career breaking performance. Her clear devotion to the subject leaves a powerful, strong performance left on screen impacting the movie for the greater good. The films finale is fantastic.
Even though most of us know the outcome, the final 30 minutes drips suspension. The POV action sequences are intensely done that will send chills down your spine. Zero Dark Thirty is an immensely done drama that adds a great thrilling aspect.
Bigelows remarkable story telling and use of the camera results in Zero Dark Thirty becoming one of best films of the year.
